Don’t Forget that the Higher Ground best of 2004 shows are coming up on
December 30th and January 6th. Please email me your favourite tunes of
the year. As always, we’ll play the listener’s choice toward the end of
the final show. Big thanks to Gregoire Villanova from Diaspora records
for joining us and playing some amazing music. Definitely look out for
the CD he’s compiled, “The Best Of Henri Guedon” on Comet Records, for a
great mixture of jazz, latin and funk with amazing afro influences.
Movement returns on December 26th at Supermarket(278 Augusta for our
annual Boxing Day Charity Bash. The cover is 5 dollars, and all proceeds
go directly to the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank. Come out and celebrate
the holidays with us and help out a great cause as well! Footprints
returns in full effect on January 22nd at the Rivoli(332 Queen St west).
Join DJ Stu, General Eclectic and myself for a night of great music and
great fun. Happy holidays everyone! Until next week, keep your feet
firmly planted on that Higher Ground! JP
