    NEWS
This is it. It's nearly the end of 2004, and the holiday season is in
full effect. With it, time for the usual suspects to unleash their
year-end lists of what they've felt were the music that moved them this
    year.
Yours truly is no exception. It's truly an awesome responsibility to do
this. I think I've agonized about the picks as much as the next person.
In the end, I have to ask myself if the end lists are what I can truly
live with. Can I pull out the picks next year, the year afterwards, and
even the year after that, and feel that they can stand the test of
time? It's often difficult to see the future, to be sure. In this case,
all I have to go on are my instincts and my deep love of music. Playing
it, sharing it, feeling it...and feeling that the lists are as good as
    I can make it.
Before you have a look at the lists, I've decided to give you one last
gift before all is said and done. In addition to the shows that are now
online, I've added two high-quality editions of my Most Recommended
    broadcasts for your listening enjoyment.
Now here's the catch: each show is three hours in length, and are
    encoded at a high-quality 192kbps. The mp3 files are 250MB each, so
you'll need a good high-speed connection to grab them. They will remain
online through the end of January. The links are:
The Most Recommended Albums of 2004:

The Most Recommended Singles/EPs of 2004:

To wrap it up, I want to thank from the bottom of my heart the many
artists, labels, promoters, DJs, producers and fans of the show old and
new who help keep me doing what I enjoy. there's an awful lot to do
behind-the-scenes, but you make it all worthwhile.
Like you, I have big goals for 2005. You will find out what they are
soon enough. For now, have a safe and grand holiday season. Catch you
    in January!
