Hello,
I agree fully with walker groove message!
i think this list is also very useful as a centre of gravity for all those involved in the acid jazz scene.
If you go on to read the threads on the web syte(if you can figure out how they are organised:-)) you will find a lot of topics that have been discussed in the past(to name a few record industry/equipment/piracy vs legal dwloading, the meaning of contemporary jazz).
Let alone the kid's hip hop "tormentone" just happened recently.
I would not want to split discussion from announcements since this might double internet time for many who are interested both in discussion and learning what's on in other parts of the globe.
I have to admit I MISS a lot the
"what's on my cd player" feature since that was quite intimate sharing and you could fly over various rooms in and around the world with your immagination!!!!
Cheers,d

This list has been very consistent over the years
and a good source for inspiration.
Personally I check out a lot of the stuff
mentioned here , either in online stores
or my local recordpusher, as I find the
music mentioned here compliments my
own tastes and preferences.
I would love to be more active in striking up
new topics for discussion, but maybe I am a
bit timid. At least I have never been much
of an online conversationalist, though I admire the
influx of knowledge to be found here, let it be reviews, personal
comments, current favourites and so on.
I think the conclusion here is that the level
of issues and heated discussions vary over
time, and apparently the members of this list
are all laying a bit low.
But thats OK with me as long as there is good music around :-)
