Yeah, it's been kind of odd lately...I hear lots of people talking about how
nothing "good" is coming out. However, I think that 2004 will be even
stronger than 2003, although the current signs in the music industry should
say otherwise. I mean, look what's already come out: The new John Beltran
is gorgeous, the new Hacienda album "This Very Moment" really has some nice
songs on it...only a couple of so-so tracks, which isn't too bad (out of 15
tunes!). One of them really reminded me of the direction 4Hero was going
in on their last album. The new Jazztronik lp is also at the top of my
playlist (I prefer the album edit of Samurai to the extended version, too).
The new Sequel album is very strong, one of Sonar Kollektiv's finest to date
(although I will miss their output on Straight Ahead Recs.). Heck, look
what's on tap for this year: The new Sweetback, the new Zero 7, the new Blue
Foundation album, Fragile State's sophomore effort, a new album from The Egg
(hopefully) and Alpha-X on Bar de Lune, New Sector Movements, the fantastic
new Quant lp, new Micatone tunes, Raw Deal's second album (with any luck),
    and who knows what else.
My wallet sure has been complaining lately.
By the way, anyone know where I can get the new Coldfeet disc, "Jazzfeet"?
I am in love with Lori Fine :)
Well, her voice, anyway. I don't really know her as a person.
Lisa Bassenge of Micatone broke my heart, so I had to find a new object of
    affection ;)
