NEWS
The international edition of Urban Landscapes Radioshow 6.2 is now online, along with the playlist. You can find more information below.
THE URBAN LANDSCAPES GUESTMIX PRESENTS:
MADRID DE LOS AUSTRIAS
From here on out, there'll be a new guestmix every other week on the radioshow. And this week's Urban Landscapes Guestmix will feature Vienna-based Madrid de los Austrias, who are producers Heinz Tronigger and Michael Krainer. The duo is very much a fixture in Vienna. In addition to the label, they run several clubs, own a full-size recording studio, and more. They've perhaps best known for doing several remixes by collaborating with fellow Austrian Richard Dorfmeister.
Sunshine Enterprises, the duo's record label, has released a compilation late last year called "This Is How We Lounge," the 30th release from the label. Most of the album features remixes that were previously available on vinyl only through the label. A few of the tunes will be part of the mix.
There are no tracklistings for the set, but I hope to get them soon for you to view at your leisure. You can find out for info on them by visiting Sunshine's web site at http://www.sunshine.at.
There are more guestmixes in my possession, and more on the way. For now, I hope you enjoy this one..
XLR8R ISSUE 74
Be sure to check out Issue 74 of XLR8R magazine, which is on sale this week in the U.S. You'll find me as the Future Jazz Guest Reviewer for the issue, and I will be contributing music reviews to the publication from hereon in.

The web site recently went back online, so you can check out my recent interviews with the London-based trio Break Reform & dubmeisters the Al-Haca Soundsystem from Germany. That's all for now, except to tell you that new music reviews will start to trickle out beginning next week so check the web site. You will also see them in next week's circular.
Finally, the night of the 6.2 broadcast was yet another milestone--that of my 40th birthday. And let me tell you that it's good to be older and wiser. Here's looking forward to my 50th, but remembering to try to live in the present.
For now I bid you adieu...will catch you next week, and hope you enjoy the music. Peace.
