Hola,
We've been playing a lot of the new Dublex Inc.
album "Eight Ears" lately and tonight, we present
a special mix set from Robin Hofmann, member of
Dublex Inc. and label manager for Pulver Records.
Expect plenty of Inverse Cinematics, Dutch Rhythm
Combo, DJ Angola and of course, Dublex Inc.!
We'll also try and slide in a few numbers from
Jaga Jazzist's newly reissued 1998 EP,
"Magazine," Nicola Conte's new single, some
imaginative ambient from Dollboy, a reissue from
NY's avant-funkmeisters, Konk and a few more
surprises.
Attention jazz fans: SFJazz has just released
their collection of live recordings from recent
performances by the SFJazz Collective - an octet
of world-class players brought together to
compose new music and also interpret the work of
a modern master. This first season featured the
stellar lineup of Bobby Hutcherson, Joshua
Redman, Nicholas Payton, Miguel Zenon, Josh
Roseman, Renee Rosnes, Robert Hurst and Brian
Blade. The 3-disc set includes a composition from
each of the musicians and six Ornette Coleman
numbers. It's only $30 and limited to 5000
copies. More info at www.sfjazz.org.
Until next week - ciao for now,
David
