BEST KEPT SECRET MEDIA … LAUNCHES 1st JULY
Over the past two and a half years, we feel Best Kept Secret has steadily built a proud reputation for itself as a booking agency and management company. Starting with just a hand full of artists and booking predominantly in the U.K, it has expanded it operations into Europe, North America and beyond and has, to date, covered 50 different countries worldwide.
There has always been a clear and specific philosophy driving Best Kept Secret and that was to create a powerful platform for real musical talent to promote itself with effectiveness and imagination. BEST KEPT SECRET MEDIA is the next stage of this ideal becoming a reality.
As well as continuing our existing booking, management and club promotions activities, we are now offering a full press, radio & p.r service for artists and labels for vinyl, CD and mp3 releases.
Like everything we have done – we aim high, try to do things a little differently and to provide an ambitious and cost effective service that will really benefit the music we support.

LATEST RELEASE NEWS & GOSSIP (Don’t forget ... It’s a secret..)
The first 6 months of 2004 has seen some great releases and new boundaries and sounds being pushed still further – the revolution draws closer my friends – none more so than the “neo” on “nu” soul fraternity have licking their boogaloo hips with all the thigh wobbling sweetness that has been breaking the river banks. BREAK REFORM have had their first single from their follow to “Fractures” remixed by DOMU – and it’s a right corker. They are on schedule for an early Autumn with the album close behind it. YAM WHO – who are arguably in the front line of this scene in Europe at least – have their remix of Ampfiddler’s “Dreamin’” released and have also completed mixes for Inspirit Music’s Amma and are “in session” on a rework for Madvillain (Stones Throw) as well as producing a number of songs for new U.K vocal talent CHRISTIAN FONTANA.
DOMU – the busiest man in Bedfordshire – is on remix duty for Only Child as well – released last week via Grand Central. DRUMAGICK have gone all lush and relaxed with downtempo rubs for Marcos Valle and Physics – as well at least half a dozen “rinse out” tracks that are primed and pumped for vinyl addicts worldwide. DRUMAGICK’s remix of MITCHELL & DEWBURY tracks “Beyond the Rain” appears on the new “Gilles Peterson in Brazil” compilation as well – finally getting it into the ears of those who did not catch the “promo only” first release.
JOSEPH MALIK’s new album – Aquarius Songs is released in the middle of this month and is a huge triumph in songwriting and production working in harmony. The new FERTILE GROUND album has been penned for a September release – the record is “95% finished” and most of finished product is winging its way to us from Balitmore as we speak –
