Greetings,
Those of you who listen regularly to the show, know that I often
preface my introduction to Amp Fiddler, with "the mighty..." and why,
I don't really know. However, he completely lived up to that
description at Cafe Du Nord on Friday night when he and his band
brought the funk and rocked the party for nearly two hours.
Selections from "Waltz of A Ghetto Fly" sounded even better live,
thanks to a devastating rhythm section, a second set of keys and two
fly backup singers. If he comes through your town, do not pass up the
chance to see this man before he busts wide open.
If you're in town and planning on attending the Haight St. Fair this
Sunday, be sure to stop by the Stanyan St. stage and say hello. I'll
be the M.C. for the afternoon and would love to meet you.
Hasta la vista and ciao for now,
David
