A big week of parties kicks off this Friday night at Movement with our
Raw Fusion session with DJ Mad Mats at Roxy Blu(12 Brant St). If you’ve
been listening to Higher Ground or been to Movement over the last few
years you’ve definitely heard lots of Raw Fusion tunes. Tickets are 10
dollars in advance and available at all the regular spots. The first 3
people to email back with “Movement please!” in the subject line will
win some passes. On Saturday night Footprints returns with another night
of dancefloor jazz, deep funk, and afrocuban business at the Rivoli(332
Queen St west). Join DJ Stu, General Eclectic and myself for one of the
hottest nights in the city! The first two people to mail back with
“Footprints” in the subject line will get themselves and a guest in
free! Finally on Wednesday June 30th, Movement and Phat Black Pussycat
team up for a Canada Day celebration featuring Jazzanova and Rainer
Truby. Joining them will be Peter and Tyrone, Dirty Dale Arsenault, Nick
Holder and the Movement Collective of course. Tickets are 15 dollars in
advance and available at the regular spots. Until next week, keep your
feet firmly planted on that Higher Ground! JP
