Dear friends,
This edition of the newsletter includes my latest playlist plus a roundup of
recommended Bay Area gigs. (Don't miss the FREE concert with Femi Kuti on
June 17! Details below.)
Also, I invite you to tune for my next KFJC appearance TONIGHT, Sunday May
23, from 6-10pm Pacific time. It'll be an all Sun Ra set, part of KFJC's
24-hour Sun Ra marathon, "A Day and Night of the Sun," that is broadcasting
as I type these words. Check it out at 89.7 FM in the SF Bay Area and
www.kfjc.org on the weird wild web. KFJC DJs will be celebrating the life
and work of Herman "Sonny" Blount from 6:00am Sunday, May 23, through 6:00am
Monday, May 24. It's all part of our annual "Month of Mayhem" programming at
KFJC.
Now on to the playlist...
