People keep writing into me eavery day, asking me what is the definition of FUNK???
Of course I really don't know what the definition of that word is, but it's always kinda fun
to kick it around from time to time, just to see what the different perspectives are.
One definition that we came up with a while back was something along the lines of an equation:
FUNK = Soul + Blues + Rock n' Roll + Jazz
(with a little bit of gospel and latin thrown in for some spice)
I can think of no other artist whose music better fits that equation than MANDRILL
