After doing some internet research, I discovered the name of the
percussionist with Skerik to be Mike Dillon, who also plays vibes and
percussion in Garage A Trois, a group consisting of Skerik on tenor sax,
Mike Dillon on vibes, Stanton Moore (Galactic) on drums, and Charlie Hunter
on (his) guitar. What a cool band.
Skerik and Mike Dillon happen to be members of Les Claypool's Flying Frog
Brigade, so they were in San Fransisco to do the New Years concert at the
Fillmore, but I got to see just the duet at Bruno's for only $8 the night
previous.
