    NEWS
The first Urban Landscapes Radioshow of the year, 8.1 (04-01-14), is
now available online for listening. Be sure to check out the playlist
on the home page. Also, check out XLR8R magazine Issue #84 for my

THE URBAN LANDSCAPES GUESTMIX PRESENTS: BEN MONO
The first Urban Landscapes Guestmix of 2005 comes from Ben Mono.
Regular listeners of the show will know that we've featured two
previous mixes of his on the radioshow, and he's let me in on a more
recent mix. He has a new single on Compost called "Transmissions,"
collaborating with Bay Area MC Capitol A. We're sure to hear more music
    from the man in 2005.

    CROWN CITY ROCKERS ROCKIN' IT
There's no argument that Wednesday night's Crown City Rockers show at
SLO Brew was a great success. I can't confirm that it was sold out, but
it might as well have been with so many people showing up and giving
the love for the band. Hats off to Manuel from KCBX's "Night Train"
funk show for all of his hard work paying off in spades. Could this be
the beginnings of things to come? We'll surely be working on that front
    to make things happen.
    VELANCHE'S NEXT GIGS
Mark your calendar for two after-hours gigs happening on two
consecutive Fridays at the Dwelling in downtown SLO. The first date
will be January 28, and then again on February 4th. Kick-off time
should be around 11:45pm. Will spin a variety of styles that you listen
to on Urban Landscapes, and then some. Future dates and venues are on
    the horizon.
That's all for me. Enjoy the music, and have a great weekend!
