The Urban Landscapes Radioshow airs live Fridays from 9-11pm PT on KCPR
91.3 FM, as well as via our new and improved Internet stream at
http://www.kcpr.org. You can also catch the live show Saturdays from
5-7am GMT via Clubbity, the safe club culture site, at
http://www.clubbity.com. The international edition of the last five
shows are available online and on-demand at the show's website, which
is http://www.urbanlandscapes.org. The most recent show is usually
posted online a few days aftåer the live broadcast.

Be sure to tell your friends about Urban Landscapes...and feel free to
    pass this circular on!

    NEWS
The second move in two months....punishing, indeed. But on we go...
Quite a bit to chitter-chatter about in this edition.
    MAILING ADDRESS CHANGE...EMAIL TOO!
Please see the address below for the new address where you can send
your music. Also, my personal email address--velanche_at_charter.net--is
going away. Please update your email info to
    mail_at_urbanlandscapes.org....thanks!
    ANTIBALAS AFTERMATH
Thanks to all who attended the Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra show at SLO
Brew during Memorial Day weekend. It's Soul Rail Productions' first
sold-out show, and the band kept everyone busy during its two-hour
performance. Those who missed it, missed out big. Expect more quality
shows like this to come to our area in the near future. Stay tuned...
JUNE CHARTS, NEW SHOWS ONLINE AND DEPARTMENT DELUXE GUESTMIX
Once again, things feel behind. But once again, everything has been
    caught up to speed.
My musical picks for June can be found below.
Three--count 'em--three new shows are now online for you to listen to.
    Urban Landscapes Radioshow 8.19 (05-05-20), 8.20 (05-05-27), and 8.21
(05-06-03). Show 8.21 features the week's Urban Landscapes Guestmix
from Jan Siegmund of Department Deluxe Radiio in Stuttgart, Germany.
Okay, so it's not really a mix in of itself. It's his 35th edition of
his excellent radioshow. After being pulled from its former home (along
with other shows) due to new and stringent net radio requirements in
Germany, the show recommences this month at its new home, Swiss-based
online radio station Lounge Radio (http://www.lounge-radio.com). You
can call it a show-within-a-show for this mix, so hope you enjoy it.
NEW ADDITION TO THE URBAN LANDSCAPES FAMILY: RADIO PELLENERA
Some of you may already know that both Italian-based Clubbity and
Belgian-based Beyondjazz both simulcast Urban Landscapes, and it's much
appreciated. We now have a new member to the Urban Landscapes family.
Radio Pellenera, an online station based in Italy, and is pleased to be
a new carrier of Urban Landscapes. Shows airing will be three weeks
old, and you can check it on Tuesday from 1-3pm and again Saturdays
from 11am-1pm. Both times are GMT. Do check out
http://www.radiopellenera.com for this and other fine shows that the
station's airing. Big ups to Fabrizio and the crew.
URBAN LANDSCAPES GOES TO THE BLOGS
I've decided recently to cut back on using the mailing list to send out
show news, and will only plan on using it as a means of keeping you
informed with the playlists as well as monthly Soundscapes list. In its
place, I'm making use of a new blog for the show. It's simply entitled
Velanche's Spot, but this will be an extension of the Urban Landscapes
Radioshow. The blog will be updated twice weekly with a variety of info
and news, including playlists, charts, and audio links to the
broadcasts. Suggestions and comments, of course, are welcome. You can
check it at http://blog.urbanlandscapes.org. Not much there at the
moment, but soon more tidbits and what have you will be posted for all
    to see.
That's all for the time being. Enjoy the music, and be sure to catch
    the show live this Friday!
