Bit of a crazy show last week! I really love when we cover the map of
great music, and last week felt great. Definitely tune in tomorrow as
we’ll have special guest Miles Cleret from Soundways recordings in the
house. The man who brought you the excellent Ghana Soundz and Afro Baby
comps will definitely have some tasty bits! As for the party front,
Footprints returns on March 19th for another hopping night of good music
and good people. It all happens at the Rivoli(332 Queen St west). Please
arrive early to avoid disappointment! Movement returns on March 25th at
the Supermarket(268 Augusta) for another night of funk, jazz, latin,
boogie, house etc. with John Kong, Aki, DJ Nav and yours truly. The
first four parties at Supermarket have been off the hook, so do not miss
out. Finally, I’m very happy to announce the return of the Octopus
Lounge at a hot new location! I’ll be holding down the residency on
Saturday nights starting in a few weeks so stay tuned. Until next week,
keep your feet firmly planted on that Higher Ground! JP
