Elson celebrates his thirty[something] birthday one week early with a show
featuring his Soul Barkada
playing two sets of live soul/R&B/funk - and more - in their monthly gig.
This Friday, Elson and the band debuts a
brand new tune with a reggae flavor (!) called "No More," plus for the
first time ever, the show features a special
guest opening act - R&B singer Peter Isaia - he's quite a vocal talent!
Last month at Chow FunK!, on the eve of his packed-house performance at the
Wiltern LG Theatre, stand-up
comic Rex Navarrete displayed his hidden percussion talents by getting on
the congas and jamming with Elson
and the Soul Barkada - so you'll never know what to expect!
As usual, Mardi Gras beads in full effect for those who choose to get down,
so get on the floor!
