STRAIGHT NO CHASER
Join us early for live jazz, and late for the best dj's in the city.
Special guest DJ this week:
Lars Behrenroth
(Sonar Kollektiv, Germany / Deeper Shades of House, XM Radio)
This week at StraightNoChaser is going to be huge. Not only is Lars
Behrenroth from Germany making his StraightNoChaser debut (he's going on
early, so don't be late), but our personal chef, Cullen Campbell, will begin
his series of friday culinary performances this week.
Cullen is easily one of the very best Chefs on the west coast, and is known
for his immense creativity and attention to detail. Former Executive Chef at
the House of Tricks, he's also been an integral part of Gregory's, and is
now currently at Le Grande Orange in Phoenix. Cullen will be tossing out the
Loft's traditional menu, and designing a new one EVERY WEEK; purchasing all
ingredients the day of at local farmer's markets, butcher shops, and seafood
purveyors in and around Phoenix. This is going to be a real treat for all of
us every friday evening--and something you simply cannot find anywhere.
Free wine tastings from 6-8pm will be given by sommelier Brent Karlicek, and
House of Tricks wine buyer Ryan 'RB' Brown. Love wine? Come talk with pros.
Want to learn? These down-to-earth guys are happy to teach.
Lars Behrenroth, DJ since 1986, Producer, Remixer and Radio show host since
1996, is known to many people as the host of several radio shows including
Deeper Shades of Houseš on XM Radio. Lars is also recognized a remixer for
artists incl. Kathy Brown, The Rurals , Pressure (95North Records), Deep
Swing, Dubtribe, MJ Cole, Alma Horton, Slope, Q-Burns Abstract Message feat.
Lisa Shaw, Arnold Jarvis and more. Lars also has production releases on
labels such as Chez Music, Sonar Kollektiv, Perfect Toy, Compost, deep4life
and many more. Very soon Lars will launch his own label titled 'Subtle
Koffee Music,' and continues to DJ in cities all over the US and the world.
StraightNoChaser features a different local charity organization every
month. This month we welcome..
'Body Positive' - an HIV and AIDS research and resource center.
