I just picked up the new Earth Wind and Fire album, "Illumination" the
other day and was pleasantly surprised. If you're into their classic '70s
    sound, well, it's back.
Philip Bailey's falsetto is there, Verdine White's bass is still thumpin,
and Maurice White still holds it down (despite his bout with Parkinson's).
The album is full of collaborations - Rapahel Saadiq, will.i.am from Black
Eyed Peas, Big Boi from Outkast, Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child,
    Floetry and Kenny G.
Vikter Duplaix also does some production and session work on this album,
too. Other groups work hard at making a "Neo Soul" sound, but EWF just do
    what they do best.
    Highly recommended.
