25 Strong is the story of a dedicated group of BLACK MEN (several of whom
are members of Soul-Patrol) who are enabaling/facilitating an environment in
the inner city that leads to self esteem and accomplishment for the young
people in that community.

25 Strong Receives Its DVD Release.
It is with great pleasure that we announce the national DVD release of our
feature length documentary 25 Strong: A film About Basketball: A Film About
Life. Shot in 2004, 25 Strong outlines the then 25 year history of the
vaunted Kevin Bushell Bed Stuy Pre Teen Basketball Classic which takes place
every summer at the playground of Public School 305 in the Bedford
Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn,New York. It is directed and produced by
Kevin Harewood and Stephen Booth.
Since its New York City Department of Parts sponsored premier in the summer
of 2005 25 Strong has been exhibited at a variety of Film festivals, film
series and showcases. Most notably it recently was exhibited as an official
selection at the acclaimed Mumbai India Sports Film and Television FICTS
Festival in Mumbai, India Among the alumni of "The Pre Teen" are Stephon
Marbury of The New York Knicks, Jamaal Tinsley of The Indiana Pacers and
Rafer Alston of The Houston Rockets who are also interviewed in the film.
