Yo,
So last week, I was so exhausted from driving in the damn rain all
day, I gave myself a break and played this great mix set from
Counterpoint recording artist David Borsu that had recently come in
the mail. It's now up and ready for your listening pleasure, online
or via the podcast.
I was so tired, that I forgot to bring some of the new releases I had
promised to play, but I swear I'll make it up tonight. I spent the
bulk of this past weekend writing my DVD column and had a chance to
catch up with the mountains of CDs on my desk, so I may get around to
new albums from: Dell & Flugel, Netsayi, Ms. John Soda, The
Mackrosoft, Roy Hargrove's RH Factor, Benet, Medeski, Martin & Wood,
Randy Weston, Mikkel Metal, Markus James, Horace Silver, Smadj, Geoff
Gascoyne, Dave Douglas, Can and just in time for Passover, The So
Called Seder: A Hip Hop Haggadah!
I caught the SFJazz Collective last night at their last show of this
season and those mo-fos were on fire! I'll have a few copies of the
latest CD to give away this evening, so tune in for your chance to
