Greetings,
I'm very pleased to tell you that we've picked up yet another (re)
broadcast partner - Radiopellenera, based in Milan, Italy. Beginning
next week, FreeFall will run on Sundays from 3:00-5:00 pm and
Tuesdays from midnight-2:00 am (GMT+1). For those of us on the West
Coast, that's Sundays at 6:00 am and Monday afternoons at 3:00 pm.
For everyone else, you'll have to figure it out on your own....but
seriously folks, check out the Radiopellenera web page
(http://www.radiopellenera.com/) for a full program schedule, music
reviews, label links and additional radio programming. It's available
in both Italian and English. I'll remind you about all this again
next week and by then I'll have links up on the FreeFall web page for
easy access.
Some of the music I'm listening to (as I write this) for tonight's
show includes, glitchy goodness from No Movement No Sound No Memories
and Duplex, a new collection of Luaka Bop artists remixed, as well as
Inside Scandinavia Vol. 2 from the boss Raw Fusion label, a wonderful
live collaboration from Jack DeJohnette and Bill Frisell recorded in
1971, dream pop from Vacabou, jazz harp from Carol Robbins (the first
I've heard since the classic Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane
recordings), singles from Big Bang, Jafrosax, The Politik, Domu, Bah
Samba, Dan Curtin, 7 Samurai and more....I hope you'll tune in!
