A few of yall will remember meeting and making friends with SounDoctrine
drummer JereB at the 2004 Soul-Patrol East Coast Convention when he came
from Youngstown Ohio to accept the award on behalf of his fellow band mates.
If you go to SounDoctrine's web site you will see a whole bunch of pictures
that JereB took from the 2004 Soul-Patrol East Coast Convention. It was an
award that he was truly proud to accept. In the days and weeks that followed
he told me so many times how it made him feel to have met all of the good
folks from Soul-Patrol in the flesh who were so willing to support an
UNKNOWN INDEPENDENT ARTIST from Youngstown, Ohio.
In the meanwhile SounDoctrine has been appearing at concerts, radio/TV shows
all around the country FUNKIN UP THE UNITED STATES with a JAZZ GROOVE and as
one of the FIRST "INDY ARTISTS" to use the internet & multimedia technology
in a smart/pro active manner as a constructive tool to not only advance the
band, but also to spread their POSITIVE MESSAGE to all that they encounter!!
In fact they have a GREAT monthly newsletter that everyone here should
subscribe to. Not only does it contain information/updates about
SounDoctrine's activities, but also reports on other good things happening
in Black music/culture around the internet. For example Soul-Patrol and the
artists who are members (ex: RioSoul, Marlon Saunders, Billy Paul, etc) have
been featured in SounDoctrine's Newsletter many times over the years.

I know that some of yall (myself included) have attended a SounDoctrine
concert and reported hearing them them THROW DOWN live and in "LIVING
COLOR". And by nature of just the kind of people they are, we have observed
the members of SounDoctrine showing up at Soul-Patrol events in support of
other artists who are SP members. That's important to me because my feeling
is that a key component of the "independent soul movement" being sucessful
is for....
THE ARTISTS TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER.
::::Fast forward to May/2006:::
