Im not still sure of this place, but its supposed to have an AJ/Funky
night on thursdays. Calle Juan Bravo 31,
close to calle Principe de Vergara (Metro Nunez de Balboa).
You have a magazine thats called "La guia del ocio", for just a dollar,
that gives you all the information on whats going on, where the places are
and much more. Also you have in the fridays edition of "EL PAIS", a
newspaper, a supplement of culture called "EL PAIS DE LAS TENTACIONES",
that provides information on concerts, jams and interesting things.
About the shop, there are at least 2 really good ones:
Madrid Rock
On the styles the AJ list might like, check out Madrid
Rock (Gran Via 25), El Corte Ingles (a department store, but they have some
things for Djs from specialized shops, Plaza de Sol/calle Preciados, big
bulding, wont miss it...), The Level Record Shop (imports and stuff, calle
Apodaca 6), Push (calle Sandoval 13)
FNAC
(Plaza del Callao y Preciados), Great AJ, rap and dance sections,
with lots of imports and CD singles, but more expensive than Madrid Rock.
Here, a CD is between 2500 and 3000 pesetas ($21-$25 aprox.). You can also
buy some for 1500 pesetas or 4000 pesetas ($12,5- $34), but these are the
least. If you want to buy vinyls or other styles apart from AJ, tell me
and Ill look for them (havent bought a vinyl for years...)
