'The Hand Of Contraband'
Up, Bustle and Out (Ninja Tune)

A sensual sound journey, eastward bound, that gently carries you away
with some almost hypnotic percussion rolling into a neatly packed funky
beat with some very exotic Floyd/Santana like sounds layering the top.
Track 2 is the same as the first except stripped bare of it's drum
pattern, giving a new meaning to the term 'virtual reality'. The flip
side carries the listener into more of an urban landscape relying more on
an infectous hip hop streak. The single comes complete with a bonus break
beat version of each track for your DJ'ing enjoyment. Very typical of
what you can expect from this excellent label that has often been far
ahead of it's time but is only now recieving the recognition it deserves.
