found this cmj sampler from london records in a bargain bin this weekend.
got a variety of tracks on it.. some excellent, some so so.. mostly bands
i didn't know, and also an extended dj shadow track and a great portishead
one...

surprise bargain bin find... bit of a synopsis.

track listing..

u.n.k.l.e. vs. portishead "the time has come"
(absolutely dope, highlight of the disk for me..)

goldie vs. rabbit in the moon "inner city life"
(well.. i'm not much of a goldie fan myself.. so.. whatever)

tricky "tricky kid"
(got this one on like eight discs..)

dj krush "duality"
(the early and good krush stuff)

crescendo "are you out there"
(interesting track with female vocals, seems actually a bit housy, but it
grew on my the second listen.. they got much else out there?)

orbital "the box"

ltj bukem "horizons" (great mix, name sounds familiar but don't think he's
in my library anywhere else, nice build up to a decent beat)

dj shadow "in flux" (excellent track, shadow always lives up to
expectations with his varied twelve minute mixes and dope sampling)

jeru the damaja "ya playin yaself"
(more rap than anything, good vibe and all tho..)

watts project "doin' every day the hard way"
(well.. personally not enough beat going on, too much talk.. you know?)

lemon d "los angeles"
(sample of ole tom brokaw.. "this is los angeles, gang capital of
america".. kind of reminds me of snoop doggy dog gone jungle.. at least
with some of the sounds.. decent track..)

folk implosion "natural one (u.n.k.l.e. remix)"
(sweet remix, pleasant sounding vocals..)

money mark "never stop"
(chilled funky tune, with a smooth underlying bassline.. great ending track)
