My $.02 about the new Portishead album

Last night, I went to the release party in S.F. I picked up the record,
and I have to say that I think it's great. It is definitely Portishead,
and there's no mistaking the sound, but I think that there is plenty of
growth evident in the recording. This time around, the songs are more
anxious, less melancholy. Overall, the production and songwriting have
become more pointed.
I wouldn't say that this is a better album than Dummy (in it's genre, IS
there a better album?) but it is most certainly a worthy effort.
Oh, yeah- at the event, there was a great film of a live performance in
NYC in late July. Was anyone on the list at that show?
