this is something that saddens me. not because i think that techno should
"stay black" as it were, but because i'd like there to be more diversity in
the people that it appeals to. ironically enough, most of the techno i've
heard in the last few years i've *hated*--especially the carl craig stuff (i
was most definitely *not* feeling "more songs...", or that paperclip people
single (7") from last year), man is *he* overrated!! of course, out here
(l.a.) few black people even dig house, let alone anything harder.
generally,
the blacks house appeals to are gays &/or emigres from nyc, chi-town, etc.
