I heard a bit of this at my local record shop and the majority of this is
beats cut up over minimalist rhythms and such. Sort of like DJ Food style I
guess you could say... It's really not my thing...

    > Shazz - Afro Disiac (Denote Records)

This was pretty nice, I think the artist was also Afro Disiac though! :)
Although the Shazz remix take is straight up jazz house, the Oscar remix
sort of takes the track different places from slight afro cuban direction to
an offbeat path. I like that remix a lot!

Another french production although in a house vein but extremely good and is
quite a nice track was the Ana Rago "Sex" twelve on Set but leave all the
other remixes at bay because they are all hurting badly, it's the Next
Evidence remix you want. It's so good, the rhythm will totally memerise
your feet. It's not like other remixes they've done, it's more electronic
    rather than organic.

    > Q Project - Social life/ Stability (Narcotix)

It sounds quite nice on Juno but I always worry with such short loops that
it might keep doing that over and over. You never know and you never know
especially with the Narcotix subsidaries. I like some Total Science off the
label but some of it sounds a little near techstep which is too much for me.
Most of the Total Science stuff though I find myself liking is the 125bpm
pieces rather than the 145bpm pieces.

    My requests:

    1. Has anyone heard that Landslide remix for "Around The Corner" on
Hospital (supposedly coming out on their Plastic Surgery compilation)? I
really liked the Jazztronik and original version, not so much with the
Origin Unknown remix though. London Elektricity are such geniuses, I wish
they still worked with some of their artists from Tongue & Groove. They
still have Izit, "Bird Of Paradise" (is that old?) off Galactic Disco (their
housier not-in-continuation offshoot) was such a nice track.

    2. Has anyone heard the new Figarro or Dazzle on Clairaudience? Speaking
of which, I'm dying for a copy of "Word Sound Power" by African Blues on
Clairaudience CA002 12". This was before the whole Wave Music distribution
deal when they were locked in with Unique (I believe).

    3. Does anybody own the "Starchasers (Photek Remix)" promo? There is a
track of interest on the flip called "New Yorker In Dollis Hill". What is
that like? Soulful moody like their first two discs off the Two Pages 4LP?
Considering it's on the drum n' bass copy, I'm thinking heavy dark techstep.
There also two other tracks they've done called "Ebisu Gardens" and
"Holograms (apparantly with Azymuth)" but are only on the Japanese edition
of Two Pages 2CD set. Is "Holograms" another name for "Starchasers (Azymuth
Remix)" off the Two Pages Revisited 3LP? Nobody really knows but I'm sure
someone has got to have these editions... BTW, Stacey Pullen's "Vertigo"
with the 4 Hero remix is hot, it's on Science with an orange sticker (as
with all UK promos nowadays, a promo sold to the shops)! You gotta get it!
Also on the same note, when does 4 Hero's new album come out? Everybody's
got a release date to shuffle about!

    4. Anybody heards bits about the Zero 7 album? I'm getting nervous,
everybody's coining them as the next Air. While they might have that sort
of soundtrack quality to their work, they are lot more soulful and can
produce these high quality differential productions.

    5. WHEN DOES THE GALERA ALBUM DROP?!!!! Man, those Rainy City boys are
totally killing me! It's been done for about two years now but still
nothing! Apparantly there are sublimely new episodes in that track on the
first Testing The Waters 001 which will be appearing on the compilation they
    are making!

    6. I'm also looking for Dirty Harry DH002 from Japan. It's Yasushi Ide
featuring Monday Michiru "A Certain Peace" with Main vocal Mix and Flute
Star Version. I already have DH003 with the Rhythm Version and the Guitar
Version but that's it. I see all these places on the Internet that have it
but they are not willing to give it up because high shipping rates and the
lack of proper international money distribution. It's a shame! Because 4
Hero's remixes of Shakkazombie are AWESOME! Kokoro warp warp warp! And the
Recloose remix of Crue-L Grand Orchestra, oh yeah!
