Hey fellow lovers of broken beat, nu jazz and quality tunes,

I just finished up a rather lengthy, in-depth article focussing on the
'broken beat' sound and scene emerging from West London and beyond. It
was definitely a labour of love, involving weeks of time, tons of
research and a whole wack of interviews, including with:

    • I.G. Culture (New Sector Movements, Son of Scientist, Main Squeeze...)

    • Dego (4hero, Plutonia, Nu Era, 2000 Black records etc.)

    • Alex Attias (Mustang, Beatless, Catalyst, Plutonia, Visions Inc. etc.)

    • Spencer Weekes (Goya Distribution, People and Main Squeeze)

    • Moonstarr (Toronto's own of PTR and soon w/ stuff on Compost,
    Reinforced...)

Just wanna give the list a special heads up to its existence as I know
loads of you are also deeply feeling this music. In fact, a number of
you helped turn me on to the sounds (hello Aaron, Stephanie etc.!! :-)
and helped me keep track of who is who, working under which project
    name.

The article is in the current issue of Exclaim magazine, distributed
(for free) all over Canada. For those living elsewhere, check here:

Any and all feedback is welcome, especially 'cause I couldn't find any
other articles like this out there at all. Closest thing was the XLR8R
interview w/ I.G. and Dego from earlier this year. Anyone know of other
good stuff to read on this topic? Thanks! Over 'n out.
