STYLIN - Rare grooves, hi-tech jazz and other worldly fusions
Friday afternoons 12-2pm RRR 102.7FM, Melbourne (GMT +11)
Live online - http://www.rrr.org.au (see below for global times)
    Archived online thanks to http://www.quantumlounge.net

    Hello all

Maybe you are among the people I send this newsletter to that don't live in Melbourne. Maybe you can't always catch the show live, whatever time it happens to be on in your part of the world. Maybe you get annoyed when I send out the newsletter and talk about my guest from last week who is not yet very well known outside Melbourne, but who will be very soon. My guest who makes amazing techno music (in the classic sense) and performs it live either solo or with his group Phunk de Sonique. Performs it live to incredible reactions from techno dons like Derrick May, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, Aril Brikha and Fabrice Lig. Then plays an excerpt of one of these sets on Stylin. Music that outrageously remains unreleased.

Maybe you wish you could listen to it after I do my little rave in the newsletter?

Well, thanks to another former guest of Stylin, Perth's Nic Tan, you can now listen back to Stylin on the excellent http://www.quantumlounge.net. Try it out. Let me know your thoughts. Also check out the pic of Baby Styles!

Back to my guest last week. His name is Christian Vance, and he promises that some of that great music will be getting released. Very soon. You can also catch him DJing around town in between live sets.

This week I'll be joined by Crucial D from Sydney (playing Open Sesame at Honkytonks tonight) and Martin Kwok from Wellington's Jewel School crew.

    until then
    Ennio Styles
