Well, gentle folk it appears we have some indignance going on here........

Firstly, Jamiroquoi is agreat album band and perhaps not best live....the
comments on Stuart Zender for instance are well received; his bass playing is
akin to the like of Duck Dunn.......I know if Duck has heard him he would
agree.......in my opinion (and readers, a tip, thats all it is) they perform
less well live because Stuart doesn't let it rip like he does in the
studio........maybe Jay should hold up on the Jamaican Woodbines......at the
Phoenix two years ago he literally gave up singing he was so mortalled...

....and the reason JK gets the attention he gets, normally off, is because he
has alot of maturing to do in the Cool stakes.......when I first heard him at
the Brighton Jazz Bop in 90 he was a real arsehole.....at least now he shuts
up most of the set......

As for Corduroy.........live they WERE the hottest thing to see........and
thei album DadManCat is the most quintessential modern acid jazz thing ever
released. What a classic.......I had it on in this truck at the Horde
festival in New Jersey last weekend (Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, Joan
Osborne etc type crowd) and we must have had a good 40 people walk by and
stop to shake their thing......it was great......

Questions......anyone help me out.....?

1......the greatest Street funk outfit I have seen and heard has to be
D-Influence (for a transcendental experience get hold of "Good 4 We" on
EastWest Records. Anyone know if they are still playing, have a new release
due and/or planning to tour the US and UK......
2. KEZIAH JONES..........whats up.....anyone know if the man who rips a hole
in anyones live performance in the genre is planning a follow up to the
CLASSIC "Blu-Funk is a Fact" album........any fellow brits help a man
stranded in the Not-so-yet-lets-hope-soon-as-acid-jazzy-as-us United states
with details.......

3. Mondo Grosso........any one know if the Deutsche-japanese outfit ever
planning to tour...........(and for anyone who knows only their name from
complilations try "Mondo Grosso etc...." it's quite simply the funkiest acid
jazz album out there.......

Cheers and paz
