sorry, i dont have any news on the new multidirection, but i would like=20
to share a story about the old multidirection..
A while back i was DJ'ing in this cocktail cool out area, and there were=20
candles and incence to create a nice environment..
anyway, I'm playing this real groovy track from the multidirections LP (I=
=20
can't even remember what song now) and the other DJ comes up to me, and=20
for some strange reason decides to blow out the candle that he had placed=
=20
quite strategiclly <?> near the turntables. Before I knew what he was=20
doing there was wax all over my multidirections record. And because the=20
record was spinning at the time, wax got all over it, amd in all the groove=
s.
Well you can imagine how pissed off I was, so I demanded that he pay for th=
e
record, although I knew that the chances of being able to pick up another c=
opy=20
were very minimal.=20
So i resigned myself to the fact that my beloved record was screwd and=20
unplayable.
several months later, as it turns out. A friend of mine managed to take all=
=20
the wax off the surface by carefully sponging it with a hot rag.=20
(like, you couldnt damage the record anymore than it was anyway..)
I played the record a few times and the needle managed to clear the=20
grooves of all the excess wax.. now the record plays perfectly and im =FD=
=E9
happy and we all lived happily ever after.. :-)
