Hey all, here's a little NYC scene report for you, I know I haven't
written in for a while, but I've been crazy busy. I went out to see Chillfreez
spin last night, monday, at Den Of Theives, and had a great time. DJs T-Na and
Martine were spinning quite progressive and tasty nuggets on wax until midnight
when Chillfreez took over on the wheels of steel (chillfreez was as usual, mind
numbingly good.) The party took a while to get going, but was a lot of fun
(especially early on when the DJ to clubgoer ratio was very high and the
conversation was interesting. DJs in the house included of course Chillfreez,
Martine, T-Na and yours truly, but also present were DJs Bax & Cosmo, and Howie
B.) So it was like a mini convention. So anyway anyone on the list from NYC
should be ashamed if they haven't checked this party out yet (Mondays, Den of
Theives, 145 e. Houstan, 10pm-4am)

Anyway on a different note, NYC fans have to choose between Incognito
and Fred Wesley for tonight's selection, not an easy choice, although I think
I'm gonna go see Fred personally. Tomorrow and thursday Roy Ayers & Brooklyn
Funk Essentials will be at S.O.B's.

Also keep your eyes open for a JazzmatazzII website, and a Roy Ayers
IRC conference.
