YES! Ornette did an album of Prime Time w/ J.Garcia playing some gitar.
Ornette admits that he had Jer (Yeah, we're on first syllable basis) on
the album just to sell some records. IMO Jer sucked on the album, i'm
glad that his tracks are a bit hidden or drowned on the recording.
i haven't really kept up with this thread so i don't know the just of
what's up with Jer on the a.j.-list. flame me if you want but i think
"IMO" should be a safeguard against a possibly hostile crowd.

so here is an interesting antecdote about jer and the dead (Rest in peace
SOON!): jer supposedly was caught on possession charges back somewhere in
that seventies era. what i heard was that his charge was dismissed after
he agreed to pacify the " deadheads" in a frenzy of peace and love instead
of talking about revolution and poop on the govt. my source says he read
it in the paper when he was real young and never forgot it (And started to
hate jer and the dead) b/c he thought it was weak then. yeah,
whatever... just had to spill some goop.
