I'm sorry, but I have to get something off my chest. I don't think that
"acid" fits the best for me. Awhile back I posted a note about me and my
band, and where we were headed, but I don't know...We have, well, more
acurately I have a unique sound for sure, but we don't have much of a
hip-hop feel...Baisicaly were're acid-jazz minus the hip-hop. We're kind of
sticky-bluesy-be-bop with alittle rock/fusion (if I can define fusion
correctly) tossed in, and a sticky, scratchy, heavy-ended beastly beat
underneath. Are we "Post-Bop", or "Acid-Blues", or what? I am very young
so it is possible, as far as I can see, that we might just be another new
sound in jazz in the zygote stage of development. Could we be the sound
produced by white boys from Cedar Rapids, Iowa? I'm havin' an identity
crisis, here! Help me...AAAUGGHH!!
