coming out guys?"

Uhhh- soon, actually! A compilation LP titled "Mixed Emotions: Jazz in the
Eighth Dimension" will be hitting the streets mid to late July. It'll have two
cuts from each of the artists you mentioned, for a total of 8 tracks. No CD at
first, but there are plans to hopefully take care of this soon after the
release.

We're trying to come out strong in Florida- it's hard, as we are seen as a part
of the country that is reserved for tourists or retirement. Of course, there is
plenty of this, but the fact that so many people from around the world descend
on this area (especially Orlando) means that there are a lot of different
flavors in the air. All races, countries, languages, creeds, and musical
backgrounds touch down on Orlando soil daily. I think this makes for a diverse
breeding ground for interesting sounds and fusions. Now whether this is being
nutured or not is a different story...

Other Orlando release news: Pimp Daddy Nash and Q-Burn's Abstract Message will
have a split 12" released on Mephisto Records out of San Francisco in about a
month. There will be two songs and two remixes from each, and the flavor is one
I hope you will check out. Definitely hitting the abstract, though the fast BPM
(141!) of the Q-Burn track may challenge most jazzy DJs. Also, look for a
compilation of "Dub Jazz" as compiled by DJ Chillfreez to come out in August on
C&S Records (the folks who licensed Give 'Em Enough Dope here). I'm not sure who
else is on it, but it will feature a tune by Dubmarine called "Feel The Sauce",
a fusion of hip hop stomp and reggae sway.

That's what's up here. Also, to all you folks in Toronto- I've been talking to
Paul Lopes about a visitor to your city named Dion. I'm pretty sure this is the
same character who used the name "Bodhi" to con folks all over the country in
the past year. He tried to do it to me, as well. This guy is a pro! Stay away
from him and get him out of your town. See my letter to the editor in the
Prodigy issue of URB for more details, or e-mail me, of course.

Again, thanks for the props on the magazine and the tape. Those SOUL POWERs will
be mailed next week (some with 8th Dimension Promotional tapes)... look for 'em.

PEACE n LATERS
