Just looking for reviews of SoulJazz's latest Jazz Classics release. I've
had the album for a while now, and think its a must-have for all you
jazz-junkies out there (just my opinion though!).

Some of my faves on the album:

BANANEIRA by Emilio Santiago....if there are any Brasilian/Latin-Jazz
fans on this list, I dont have to say much about this track! I cant
believe that this song is so old (1973). It sounds more recent to me. A
great groove - funky and nice!

L'EROE DI PLASTICA by Toni Esposito.....maybe its the "hand clapping"
that gets me going! I slower placed groove, but a raw sounding track. I
like it lots!

MANHA by Azymuth.........a great mellow summer song. Great use of hammond
M.102 piano...more of a straight-up jazz sound. Very sweet! (maybe the
BoyTeen guy from Hawaii knows this track...it was recorded there in 1975!)

BANANAS by Weldon Irvine........its by Weldon! Nuff said!!

I really like how this album is put together....some Brasilian, some
straight ahead, and some funky stuff - WELL DONE! I wish more album
comp.s were done this way!

London Jazz Classics 1 & 2 are great albums too, and vol.3 definitely
wont disappoint by any means.

O.K....enuff from me.....I'm looking for more feedback on this album!
Tell me what you guys think! The goods/bads, whatever!

peace y'all!
