I tried to stay out of this Fingers mess, I really did (trying to promote
positive vibes and all). But this last note just got to me.

> First, you have NO IDEA ghow many records I am on do you?

We don't care. This list isn't about jocking someone because he's been on
some records. If you think you should get automatic props and deference
because of who you are, you are on the wrong list. Maybe you can set up a
Usenet newsgroup about yourself or something.

> Do you listen to any music at all except the shit that moves and grooves
> you?

I know this comment wasn't directed at me, but I think you're totally
underestimating the diversity of this list. I, for one, listen to a wide
range of music, including stuff that isn't considered danceable (Dead
Kennedys, anyone?). Don't assume that we only listen to one type of music
(although you already did).

[gasp] He dissed the Digables!?!?!?!?
Fingers, I can see your point about not placing the DPs with P-Funk, at
least for now. But don't imply they don't have talent. It appears that
you either haven't listened to them or you have no idea what you're
listening to, because they are, IMHO, one of the tightest groups out
there, acid-jazz, hiphop or otherwise. _Blowout Comb_ is a fantastic
record that represents hiphop-jazz better than anything i can think of
off the top of the head.

All of that is to say this: You have been a very negative presence on
this list, and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying you should either be
quiet and learn about the music, or just leave the list.
