Most of the bad reactions are caused by the name itrself and all its
implications. If this music was bundled together with other AJ type
releases, it would have received far greater acceptance, far earlier.
This comment must be qualified, by saying that there is an awful lot
of cheesy music in the archives of labels like Pye, Decca and EMI
which should not be released but for short term novelty value.
Examples such as 'Guaglione' - Prez Prado, a number of the tracks
from the Sound Gallery, and that nasty new This is Easy compilation.
What is the general feeling on the list of The Mike Flowers Pops?
Amusing for about 5 minutes is my opinion, but hey, what do I know.
A quick query for our anglophile readers, I would like to get hold of the
original theme tune to 'It's a Knockout', a veritable classic of its kind,
but don't know where to find it. Please help!
Cheers
Simon
