I've always suspected that aj folks descended from the rudies & mods of the
early '80s, now I know I was right. BTW, the term ska comes from the way
Jamaican musicians described how to play it on a guitar--"just make it go
ska... ska.... ska....".
IMHO, the very best ska/roots/rocksteady record I ever heard is by Junior
Murvin and has Police & Thieves on it.... If only I could remember the album
title, my old roommate John Quintos (from the Liquidators) had it and I miss
it daily.
