2. Brazilian Thoroughfare : This compilation has been around for a while
but I finally found it on cd. A must have for the brazilian head. Good
70's funk sensibilities mixed with the great brazil vocals. Plus the
graphics were done by listee dan prothero out at Luv & Haight.
3. Krush's Turntablized(mo wax reissue in the brown paper sack) :
Excellent, a beautifully sinister soundscape by the man. For US fans of
Krush if you can get a copy of this album you will be very satiated. This
album lets you drift into other worlds. This is the Krush that is
outstanding, much rougher than either "Krush" or Meiso, more
representative of the early tracks found on Mo Wax Royalties Overdue,
and After Hours.
4. Sourcelab : widly variating rythms from france. This two CD
compilation brings down everuthing from funk/jazz to ragga to drum &
bass. the first of the two CD's is the more upbeat. I am looking for the
second one about which the reviews seem favorable.
5. Plug in & turn on : just bought this this afternoon... and am
listening to it for the second time ( this round even louder) interesting
so far. On nice thing is that it is long so you can enjoy the space for
at least an hour. It is ambientesque music with an Alex Reece tune and Tek9.
well back to listening,
jeremy
