(I am not a DJ) I totally agree with the first DJ and yourself, it
is important for a DJ to know his audience, and play what they want to
hear, I'm not saying that a DJ should not try to educate the audience, but
must make a compromise between what the audience want and there own
(I know what you should be listening to) ego, in favour of the former.

Good mixing might mean that you are dancing for 2 minutes more but playing
what the audience appeciates is what makes them go home feeling f*****g
high and come back next day/week.

No mixing is better than bad mixing by about a million times. (IMHO)

Of course if your playing in some trendy club in London or something you
could play any crap!!!! ;-)
