Tracy Thorn is not the vocalist on Tricky's album, nor does she appear on
Blue Lines. She does however appear on two songs of Massive Attack's
Protection. She is half of the Blanco & Negro band 'Everything But The
GIrl', which is not an acid jazz band by any stretch of the term, but is
nonetheless admired by many list members. (And for good reason. EBTG are
well worth checking out.)
If I'm not mistaken, the female vocals on Maxinquaye were done by a girl
named Martine (?) who has not appeared on either of the Massive Attack
albums.
