The Break Beats and the Soundtrack are different, although related. The
Break Beats are the instrumental ("incidental") parts used in the movie
itself. The soundtrack is mostly incredible live shit, as seen in the
movie. The Break Beats (which were - apparently - originally pressed up as
a limited number of acetates and then bootlegged) are actually used by the
DJs in the movie (D.ST, Grandwizard Theodore, etc.) to cut up underneath
the rappers (Busy Bee, Ramelzee, Cold Crush).

For those who haven't seen the movie - DO IT AT ALL COSTS!! I know it's
back "in print" and I think they even have a web page for those who can't
find it in their local Blockbuster Music (ha ha). I don't have it written
down, though. They had an add in "Stress" a while back.

If anyone wants to trade a tape copy of the original LP, contact me
personally. I'm always down for some wheelin' and dealin'. I've got plenty
of other old-school rarities also (Death Mix, Mike & Dave stuff, Cold Crush
tapes, etc.)....

See ya,
