Yeah....coincindentally I saw "Wild Style" (the movie, that is) this
weekend. And i didn't notice Chris Stein, but did notice that Fab Five
was definitely there. The movie itself isn't that great in my
opinion...somewhat too contrived to me. The dialogue from the beginning
of The Bestie Boys' "Professor Booty" is lifted from the film...but the
actual story was kinda weak - although there's a great scene where two
groups face off on the b-ball court while rapping to each other as a
challenge.

However, the film was shown as a double feature with a movie called
"Style Wars," which is a documentary of graffiti art, breakdancing, and
old-school shit. It was pretty fresh - although the music was pretty
expectable: Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, etc... Best part of the
film is the seriously Honky narrator, who says things like "And the
b-boys rock the mic." Oh yeah, and Former Mayor and Asshole Ed Koch is
interviewed throughout the film and babbles with complete coherence - it
really shows how out of touch he really was. Check it out if ya can.

Peace -
