So I borrowed their 1995 album "amrita...all these and the japanese soup
warriors" from a friend and I'm listening to it now, it's actually turned out
to be one of the more enjoyable things I've listened to in a while.

I know it's old, but for those who haven't heard this album, it's a really
nice vibe, mostly indian samples and flutes (and in fact I just heard a horse
neigh in the background) mixed with beats that are very loopy (not much
chopping) and on the dance tunes, kind of trebly, but work very well with the
music. Lots of vocal noises, but no lyrics...I almost was thinking Enigma
(!...ok, the first album) at points (the points where they use gregorian
chants, surprise.) and definitely Tranquility Bass as cousins. Nice-feeling
music.

Anybody know if they've released anything recently? Or anything else about
North South Records? Or better yet, any release date for the long-awaited
Tranquility Bass album?

BTW thanks to everyone who replied indicating comp. interest. It's very
helpful.
