OK... he's something like 26 or 27, from the outer limits of north London,
used to be guitarist in a deeply unfashionable 70's hangover called the
Edgar Broughton Band, and doesn't really consider himself a soul singer
(the album just came out that way.) He isn't related to and has never met
Marvin Gaye...

I saw him live once last year in a support slot for Courtney Pine, and it
was very tight - sounded just like the LP, in fact. It'd be nice to see if
they stretch out a bit more without the time restrictions of a support slot.

The whole album (just titled "Lewis Taylor") is very good, BTW - very dark
and funky for the most part - and a lot of it is worth listening to for the
backing vocal arrangements alone.
