I remember that show! It used to be called "Sunday Night". And former
Squeeze Keyboardist Jools Holland took over as host afterward. It used to
air late Sunday nights on NBC in the US, circa 1988-1990(?) The
performances were cool, and the music was real eclectic.

I might be VERY wrong, but I think that MC was KRS-One.

Speaking of turntablists, I distinctly remember one "Night Music" which
featured a performance by turntable artist Christian Marclay. I don't think
he was described or describes himself as a "DJ", mostly because what he did
on the turntables was more "artsy" (read: musique concrete, etc) than beat-
dance - or even tempo- oriented, but it was still incredible. He even
manipulated cheap kiddie record players. What ever happened to this guy?
