Seriously, I agree we should add new categories. I suggest:

Best New Artist
Best Vocalist
Best MC/Rapper/Poet
Best Instrumentalist (we'd have categories for "drummer," "saxophonist,"
etc. But that's probably waaay too much).
Best AJ Rap/Hip-Hop Tune
Best AJ Latin/Brazilian Tune
Best AJ Jungle Tune
Best AJ Trip-Hop Tune
Best Experimental/Progressive Tune
AJ List Thread of The Year ("Unsubscribe" is disqualified :))

There are so many facets of AJ, it was rather hard for me to pin down what
I thought was -the- "Album of the Year" or "Best Instrumental". 1996 wasn't
a *grand* year for our kinda music, but there were a lot of good releases
and artists that merit attention.
