Subject: Eighth Dimension Update

<fontfamily><param>Geneva</param>Here's a bit of an update as to what's
happening with the Eighth Dimension collective....

First of all, blessings for a wonderful new year in 1997... the year
has been off to a great start for Eighth Dimension, with many new
projects and opportunities being realized. Here is what is up with our
individual artists:

Q-BURNS ABSTRACT MESSAGE

The last two Q-Burns singles have been getting great critical
response. "Flava Lamp"/"A Song For Peace" on Mephisto Records recieved
a nice write up in Urb, and a 9 out of 10 in Muzik. "The Toast EP" on
Sunburn Records also got a 9 out of 10 rating in Muzik, and a 5 out of
5 in Mixmag. Both singles are still available and continue to be heard
throughout the world.

February sees the release of the AUDIO ALCHEMY project on Ubiquity.
Q-Burns Abstract Message has a slow, dubby track on it, joining artists
like Cut Chemist, Bugs, and Molasses for this bugged out compilation.
Ubiquity will also be releasing a double 12" of Better Daze remixes.
Q-Burns contributes what he considers one of his better remix works to
date.

Om Records will release the DEEP CONCENTRATION CD-ROM project at the
end of March. Q-Burns is represented by a dreamy hip hop instrumental
about "the sound of 2030". Other artists on this ambitious project are
Prince Paul, The X-Men, Solesides crew, and DJ Wally.

SUNSHINE STATE OF MIND is a compilation on FFRR US focusing on the
Florida dance music scene. Joining the likes of Rabbit In The Moon,
Dynamix II, and DJ Icey will be the new Q-Burns Abstract Message track
"Puff The Magic". Pimp Daddy Nash also has a song on this collection.

Q-Burns has also been busy remixing DJ BMF, Duboniks, and US3 (the new
single "C'mon Everybody"). Also look for a new Mephisto single to hit
soon, as well as much compilation work.

Q-Burns will also be DJing a shindig near you sometime this year and,
for those in England, listen for a series of Q-Burns Abstract Message
radio mix programmes to be broadcast on Frequency FM pirate stations.
Q-Burns also has a few club residencies in Orlando, so be sure to check
out the message when in Orlando.

DJ BMF

The southeast's busiest downtempo/jazzy DJ continues with the
huge Phat N' Jazzy weekly at downtown Orlando's Sapphire Club. He is
also creating some new funky tunes with a few labels in mind. A
collaborative album project with Internal Bass (Down To The Bone) is
slated for 1997, and there is talk of Mephisto releasing the
"Grandmaster" single (played on dubplate by BMF and Q-Burns for several
months). DJ BMF's mix on the compilation BONESHAKERS 2 (on Internal
Bass) continues to get great response, and should find new listeners
with recently hooked up BMG distribution. DJ BMF did a remix for
Cooley's Hot Box that is superb, and will hopefully be released soon.
Also, BMF will continue to display his amazing DJ skills throughout the
nation in '97, making audiences groove hard to his unique sound.

PIMP DADDY NASH

Jon (AKA The Pimp!) has been mainly working on his Lickerish
Quartet side project... it features some extra jazzy drum n' bass with
female vocals on top. Some excellent music that you will be hearing
about this year. Pimp Daddy Nash also licensed the new song "Balloon To
The Moon" to FFRR for the SUNSHINE STATE OF MIND compilation (see
above). This tune gives the history of space flight told as an
electronic funk lesson. Pimp Daddy Nash is still also riding high after
the success of his other space themed single for Mephisto, "2000 Zero
Zero". Seek this record out if you've missed it... it has been a
favorite of DJs across the globe, and features a remix by DJ BMF for a
hip hop/funk flavor.

SELECTED MATERIAL

This is the big news for Eighth Dimension: the follow-up record
to MIXED EMOTIONS. MIXED EMOTIONS, released by Delancey Street UK last
year, was a big success so a second volume was quickly requested.
SELECTED MATERIAL is it, due for release this April on Delancey Street
UK. This volume will feature brand new tracks by DJ BMF, Dubmarine,
Q-Burns Abstract Message, Pimp Daddy Nash, and new acts Lickerish
Quartet and Dynagroove. There will be a series of 12"s with remixes off
the album. The first one, to be released soon, will have remixes by
Down To The Bone and Orpheos Music (of Mephisto Odyssey).

MIXTAPES

DJ BMF and Q-Burns Abstract Message have a series of mixtapes,
